Litwild Photographers Retreat

...Solitude, Canvas and Literature for your Photography

Litwild Photographers Retreat's  mission is to foster and maintain a supportive environment for photographers where they are encouraged and empowered to nourish their craft and vision.

We are inviting Photographers who are confident about their art and are certain can give back to the community and their peers. The retreat follows a Peer-to-peer mentoring and support. We believe that when photographers support each other's growth and success, they end up benefiting more.

At the Litwild retreat, you learn to jump start you vision and new ways of thinking about what you see. If you are a photographer and you'd like to be among 'your people' this June, this retreat is meant for you.

What we do not do -

This retreat is not a training workshop for photography. The participants are expected to know the basics of photography. Litwild provides a space to mingle and a large comfortable canvas for you to do photography.

We serve this with Daily Meditation, Trekking to the highest spot in Munnar, Workshops and some delicious Kerala Food.

Literature and Photography

The burnt-out ends of smoky days
And now a gusty shower wraps
The grimy scraps
of withered leaves about your feet
and newspapers from vacant lots,
the showers beat
on broken blinds and chimney pots,
and at the corner of the street
A lonely cab-horse steams and stamps
and then the lighting of the lamps.
- T.s Eliot, Preludes.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way
- I wandered Lonely as a cloud, William Wordsworth

On reading these snippets, one gets a vivid imagery. The writer has painted a canvas with his words. Poetry has different meanings for different individuals. What comes to your mind when you read these words? What do these words make you feel? At this retreat, we get your heart and mind to capture what words make you feel. You work hand in hand with the greatest poets and writers in the history and learn a thing or two from them about capturing a soul in photography.

Litwild's Role -

Now, one may ask, if you only provide a space to mingle for us, what is your role? Here is what we do -
